An Ikkat silk in my favourite colour combination was just irresistible. I love the weaves, it is so contemporary, both the little motifs on the body as well as the pattern on the border and aanchal. It is also a saree that can be worn to work and to a wedding. In fact just the perfect colors for a wedding. And keeping with the understated elegance of this saree, I would recommend a plain maroon, long sleeved blouse. I have not got an opportunity to wear this saree and I realise that my wardrobe has too many sarees in this combination so happy to pass it forward.
